SFU ATTENDS MTFC BOARD MEETING APRIL 2013

A board meeting was held at Mansfield Town on Wednesday 3rd April 2013. The board discussed season ticket prices and it was announced that these would be at similar levels to last year. The club was going to slightly increase Under 8 to Under 16 season ticket prices but agreed to keep them at the same level after listening to representations from Stags Fans United. The club did not sell many children’s season tickets last year which was a surprise as they were excellent value for money. Children’s season tickets can be bought without an adult’s season ticket although, of course, young children will not be let in the ground unless accompanied by an adult.

The new training facilities will now probably start to be built in October 2013 due to the possibility of obtaining grants from the FA. However, the club is still aiming to complete the project by early 2014.

The club is looking to buy some existing playing fields or land that can be turned into training pitches. If any fans know of any land or pitches that are up for sale then they should get in touch with Paul and Tina Broughton at the club. paultinab@mansfieldtown.net

The club is also looking to spend money improving the pitch at the One Call Stadium during the summer and are planning on buying a new machine for Mez to use.

Two dates have been provisionally booked for the end of season dinner based on whether we win the League or are in the play offs.

The club will be arranging an AGM soon to approve the accounts for the years ended 30th June 2011 and 2012. Stags Fans United will also be holding a Fans Forum with John Radford.
