SFU STATEMENT ' FREE FIELD MILL '

STAGS FANS UNITED TO BUY THE REMAINING COMMUNITY SHARES AND TO LAUNCH FREE FIELD MILL FUND

Stags Fans United (the Mansfield Town Supporters Trust) are pleased to announce that John Radford has agreed that the Supporters Trust can purchase the remaining 1,200 Community Shares for their nominal value of £0.50 per share for a total sum of £600.
This is in recognition of the support and assistance given by the Supporters Trust to the football club. This will mean that the Supporters Trust will now own all 10,000 Community Shares which is around 9.2% of the voting shares.
The board of Stags Fans United Supporters Trust would like to thank John Radford for this very generous gesture and in return Stags Fans United will immediately give the football club a cheque for £3,000 to assist with the costs of recovering Field Mill. Stags Fans United have also started a new "Free Field Mill" fundraising campaign to raise further monies to help the club with its legal battle against Keith Haslam and Stags Limited and a sum of £1,000 has already been pledged by the board of SFU for this new fund. We are planning several new fundraising ventures and we will be looking for support from the fans and the local community including corporate sponsors. All funds raised by Stags Fans United in the immediate future will be used for the "Free Field Mill" fund.

We would like to thank all our members and fans who have helped us raise the above monies including the members who responded generously to our last newsletter. Your support is greatly appreciated by us and the football club. Anyone wishing to make a donation to our "Free Field Mill Fund" can go to our website at www.stagsfansunitedsociety.co.uk and click on “make a donation” .
You can also send cheques made payable to "Stags Fans United Society Limited" to 4 Yew Tree Close, Gamston, Retford, Notts, DN22 0PZ. Any persons who donate £100 or more will be given life membership of the Supporters Trust.
You can now also join the Supporters Trust for an annual fee of £10. However, all donations large and small will be welcome and will go to the football club. Let's help return Field Mill to the Stags and the supporters. We can do this if we all stick together and rally behind John Radford who has our full support.

Come on you Stags!

Stags Fans United Statement

Stags Fans United would like to wholeheartedly condem the actions of Stags Ltd in evicting Mansfield Town Football Club from their traditional home. Football has been played on the site since 1861 and been home to the Stags since1921.
We believe that this is the act of a man who has brought nothing but turmoil to the club for 15 years. Hopefully, it will lead to the severing of all ties between Keith Haslam and Mansfield Town Football Club on a permanent basis.
John Radford can rely on our full support in pursuing legal action against Stags Ltd and Keith Haslam to recover any monies unlawfully paid to them by the football club.
We would encourage all supporters of Mansfield Town to do the same. Patience and understanding may be required with some of the necessary decisions that will have to be taken, but the long term prosperity of Mansfield Town Football Club requires solid foundations to be established.

Mansfield Town FC Club Statement

Mansfield Town Football Club is extremely disappointed that Stags Limited has today taken steps to terminate the Club's lease of its Field Mill Ground.
As the Club made clear in its press release dated 03 November 2010, it is investigating various transactions involving Stags Limited. Those transactions include the transaction whereby Stags Limited became the owner of the Field Mill Ground and therefore the landlord of the Club. The Club continues its investigations and has written to relevant parties asking for clarification and explanation with regards to that and other transactions. The Club has not yet received any substantive responses to its queries and therefore its investigations are ongoing.

As a result of its investigations to date, the Club made it clear to Stags Limited that it would not be paying rent directly but instead made an open offer to pay the outstanding rentals into an escrow account controlled by Stags Limited's solicitors. These monies would have been released upon the parties agreeing terms, the investigation being concluded or if a Court ordered that they should be.

This offer was made to demonstrate that the Club was not seeking to avoid its obligations but simply wanted to ensure that the right and proper investigations, in view of the Club's serious concerns, were concluded. This offer has been refused by Stags Limited and the Club is very disappointed that Stags Limited has today felt it necessary to take the extreme step of terminating the lease at the Field Mill ground.

We would like to reassure all fans that we will be making alternative arrangements for upcoming home fixtures, and ask for patience and support during this investigation and any ensuing legal proceedings, which we believe to be in the best interests of the Club.

We hope that the matter can be concluded quickly and that any monies removed from the Club either illegally or inappropriately are returned to the Club. If the matter cannot be resolved then the Club will not be held to ransom by any party and will take whatever steps are necessary to ensure the right resolution to this matter.

Hello and welcome to our new look website.
I would like to thank Paul Nyland for all the work he has put into updating the site.
I would also like to thank Darren Shaw, our new Supporters Director for his hard work with the club, working closely with John Radford and Steve Barker helping with the efforts to return Field Mill to MTFC & move the club forward.
Field Mill
We all now know about the idea of the ground being put into the Fans care.
We now need all the Supporters groups to work closely together under the banner of SFU Supporters Trust, so that if / when Field Mill is returned back to the club by the present owner, we as a trust have everything in place to help the club with a smooth takeover of the ground.

SFU would like to thank David Holdsworth for all the work he did for the club & wish him all the best for the future.
SFU are fully behind John Radford. He has our total support as he looks for a new manager so that the club can move forward.
This is a good time to be a supporter of Mansfield Town but also to join SFU.
Thank you
