INTERVIEWS FOR MANSFIELD MANAGER POSITION

Good luck to the board of Mansfield Town who are interviewing the candidates for the Mansfield manager’s position tomorrow. Stags Fans United asked for a fans’ representative to be on the interview panel like last time but John Radford did not consider it was necessary. However John was happy to share the names of the candidates with the Supporter Director, Darren Shaw, and he has fed back the results of his detailed research and comments to the board.

SFU THANKS PAUL COX

Stags Fans United would like to thank Paul Cox for his efforts as manager of Mansfield Town. Cox inherited a mid-table Conference club, took the club to the play-offs in his first season, then to promotion in his second season thanks to an incredible run of 20 wins from 23 games, and then to 11th in the club’s first season back in the Football League. Along the way there were many memorable moments including giving Liverpool a run for their money in the FA Cup. He is only the third manager in the club’s history to win a title, after Dave Smith and Peter Morris. Cox’s win ratio of 48.4% places him second in the list of Mansfield Town managers. SFU was proud to have been part of the interview selection panel that appointed Paul Cox, and we wish him well in his future career.
