STAGS FANS TURN ON HASLAM
During November and December, fans protests against Keith Haslam intensified. Some examples here and here, while even away fans wanted Haslam out (here and here).
Haslam tried to sell Richie Barker to Hartlepool but it fell through. Haslam later said: "I don't know why there was all the 'hoo-ha' on Saturday when neither party wanted him to go in the end. Some people were just using this as a vehicle to have a go at me rather than the football club." Read here about it.

TEAM MANSFIELD PRESS RELEASE, NEW JOINT CHAIRMEN
Colin Dobell, who was one of the founders of TEAM Mansfield, has, after 7 years, stood down as the organisation’s Chairman. Colin’s determination and hard work brought about the TM agreement with Mansfield Town Football Club and secured the fans a shareholding in the club. Because of Colin’s foresight we also now have the Stags Supporters Association, who have also contributed to innumerable benefits for fans of Mansfield Town. Whilst he is stepping down as Chairman, TM are delighted that he will remain on the Board to continue to offer much valued input.
As a consequence of Colin’s resignation, TM have appointed Andy Saunders and Chris Vasper as their new joint Chairmen. Both have been on the committee of the SSA for many years and have resigned their posts with the SSA to take up their posts.
Chris and Andy, both local businessmen and life-long Stags supporters, will continue, on behalf of TM, to fight the ongoing legal action that Keith Haslam is persisting with. At the same time they will be closely involved with the membership of TM, the local community, local businesses, the SSA and any other group that work towards the benefit of Mansfield Town supporters, as well as working to ensure that the TM agreement is upheld by the Trust and Keith Haslam.

CURLE WINS CASE FOR WRONGFUL DISMISSAL, AS JUDGE BRANDS HASLAM'S DISCIPLINARY PROCESS "A SHAM"
Former Mansfield Town manager Keith Curle won his case for wrongful dismissal by the Stags. Manchester County Court was told that Curle was sacked just before Christmas 2004, accused of bullying a youth team player - a charge he always denied. After a two-day hearing, Judge Field QC cleared Curle of any wrong-doing, awarded Curle undisclosed damages, and went on to criticise the club's disciplinary process as 'a sham'.

ONLY FIVE DAYS LEFT FOR YOUR PLEDGES
TEAM Mansfield remind supporters that there are five days left to get their pledges in. The pledge lines will close on Friday. The current level of pledges is very encouraging but we need more. Whether your pledge is large or small, every one could make a difference. This is it - your last chance to make a difference.
We have had some positive meetings with financiers, local businessmen, the local council and others. And this week we’ll be having more meetings. But remember the more fans backing TEAM Mansfield with pledges, the more likely the financiers and others are to give us further backing.
We are not revealing the exact total of pledges, because we don’t want the club to know at this stage.
A reminder of how you can pledge:
Pledge phoneline: 01773 521896
Pledge fax: 01623 656525
Pledge email: pledge@teammansfield.co.uk This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
The pledge is how much you are committing to TEAM Mansfield's proposed bid for Mansfield Town, should it be successful.
Please leave your name, address, telephone number, and the amount of your pledge, and we will get back to you in due course.
